Avantair, the only publicly traded aviation time sharing company, has announced executive promotions within its sales force.
Dan Blackett, who joined the company in 2004, and was previously the director of sales has been promoted to Vice president of sales and marketing. Blackett will oversea and manage the sales organization and the building of the Avantair brand through marketing efforts. Blackett, previously of the Barnes group, holds a BA in marketing as well as an MBA.

Mark Whittman was appointed as Sales Director to the newly formed territories in the North and Mid West. Whitman, a former Navy pilot, brings more than 25 years of aviation experience to the post. He has served with many leading aviation companies in his long and distinguished career.
