The G150 is a high speed business jet that was recently developed and constructed by Gulfstream. It recently ended a 17 part tour around the world as a demonstration and two records were set by the Gulfstream during that tour; interestingly enough during the final two parts of the tour.
The first record was from Farnborough in the United Kingdom to Gander in Newfoundland, Canada. The G150 was able to break the city-pair speed record for that route by flying the distance of 2,196 nautical miles in 4 hours and 24 minutes. During the refueling, pilots Mike Jarrett and Mike Perry received the good news about the record they had just set.
The second record was from Gander to Savannah and that distance of 1,600 nautical miles was covered by the G150 and her two intrepid pilots in 3 hours and 42 minutes. Both of these were clear record breaks and on behalf of the two pilots, the G150 and the Gulfstream company, applications have been submitted to the National Aeronautic Association in order to get confirmation of the two records now owned by the G150, Jarrett and Perry.
