The Legacy 600 and a mock up of the Phenom 300 were on display at the sixth annual International Aviation Trade Show and Convention which held from May 24 to May 26 in Mexico City. Embraer sought to dazzle guests with the spaciousness, comfort and luxury of the cabin spaces of the jets.
Mexico currently boasts the worlds second largest fleet of business aviation jets, and it is showing strong and expanding demand for future deliveries within the country.
Analysts expect that 50% of jets delivered in the next ten years will be light business jets.
The company is currently on a world tour to display their mock up of the in development Phenom 300, which is offered as a best in class business and corporate jet, offering unparalleled luxury in the very light jet class. The plane can seat 9 passengers comfortably, and offers the largest cabin space in the very light jets class.
The plane will have a range of 1800 nautical miles while carrying 6 passengers, and will be capable of flying at an altitude of 45 000 feet.
The new jet will be able to fly non stop from Mexico City to major US cities along the Eastern Seaboard, and is priced lower than other jets with a similar range.
The Legacy 600 is much larger, and can seat up to 19 passengers. It has a range of 3250 nautical miles, and can easily travel from Mexico City to any other city within the continental US.
