The worlds first very light jet manufacturer recently announced receiving a confirmed order for 120 of their Eclipse 500 aircraft. The deal with ETIRC Aviation, an eastern European distributor, is for at least 120 jets, with a further option for an additional 60 more.
The Eastern European market for VLJ’s has been strong and growing, and the new sale boosts the Eclipse 500′s orders up to a total of 2700, including orders and options.
The Eclipse 500 is a light weight jet, and is ideal for many emerging economies and markets. The Eclipse 500 will open up transportation within the emerging areas of Eastern Europe, and will also serve as an additional engine for economic growth within these emerging markets.
ETIRC and Eclipse had partnered a year earlier. The Eastern European distributor supplies the Eclipse jets to a market that spans from the Ukraine to Cyprus. The company in addition to supplying the planes to these areas, will also achieve the needed certifications for any aircraft delivered into these emerging markets.
The Eclipse 500 has a range of 1 125 nautical miles, and is relatively inexpensive to operate. It is perfect for air travel within Europe
