SaxonAir, owned by Graeme Kalbraier, hopes to widen the executive jet market in the area by establishing a presence at Norwich International airport. Skydrift, who last year partnered with Sterling Aviation to create the area’s largest aircraft charter company, set up shop at Norwich only last April.
Originally intended for his own company’s (Call Connection) use, Mr. Kalbraier made the decision to rent out the aircrafts when not in use.
The use of private jets has increased mainly due to heightened security measures at airports. SaxonAir currently owns a Beechcraft King Air 200 that seats eight and a Eurocopter AS355 helicopter with plans to order more aircraft shortly.
