Paris Air Show Nets More Orders For Airbus
At the 47th Paris Air Show Airbus received a total of 425 firm orders from 19 customers. An additional 303 commitments were made.
These orders are for the A380, A350 XWB, A330/A340 Family as well as the A320 Family.
Airbus’ new gentle green giant, created interest from existing customers.
The A380’s extra 13 orders came from Qatar and Air France. The total orders for only the A380’s is 173. In October this year the first will be delivered to operator Singapore Airlines.
The new A350 XWB programme received a total of 141 orders from five customers. They are Qatar, Aeroflot, Singapore Airlines and lessors Alafco and CIT.
A total of 132 orders was got for A330/A340 Family. The Family picked up four new customers. This goes to show the success of this Family in the market place.
