Private Corporate Jets Offer Powerful Perks

July 8, 2007

This year it is estimated that 1,000 jets will be built for use by businesses. These jets will sell for around 16.4 billion dollars.

Some very interesting things are happening in the jet industry. For example a Texas businessman is creating a supersonic jet the will offer a new spin on the "boring" old business jets. Or the executive who spent $300 million on his own superjumbo jet capable of seating over 500 people.

160 orders were placed with Dassault Aviation for the Falcon 7x, an older smaller model selling for a measly $41 million. While the US used to purchase the most private jets, Russia, India and China have joined in and are now boosting the jet plane industry to new heights.

It isn’t hard to understand why private jet flights would be the preferred option for those who can afford it. No security lines, no waiting for boarding. And the accommodations on private jets are luxurious enough for the corporate elite to appreciate. On top of all that a trip from the west coast to the east coast takes only about four hours, as opposed to three times that long through commercial airlines.
