Shane O’Hare To Take Over Position As President of UAE’s Royal Jet’s

July 9, 2007

As a step towards expansion, UAE’s Royal Jet has appointed Shane O’Hare, as it’s new president.  Other steps taken by the company include purchasing four more jets to bring their fleet up to twelve total, and investing an impressive $48 million in a Guest Flight Control Center.

Chairman of Royal Jet, His Excellency Sheikh Hamden Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan spoke of O’Hare’s appointment, "Mr. O’Hare’s appointment is part of a strategic step that will utilize his wealth of experience in aviation management.

This is a move that we view as paramount in ensuring the superior quality of our services, and will help maintain our competitive advantage relative to other business aviation providers in the region. Mr. O’Hare will lead Royal Jet into its next phase of business expansion during a critical time for the company’s growth."

O’Hare comes to Royal Jet from Gulf Air where he was Head of Marketing. He has also worked as Director of Marketing at the Star Alliance Group.

O’Hare spoke of his new position with excitement, " Quality service, innovation and efficiency are the key values that Royal Jet has been keen to promote from the outset. As the company continues to evolve, not only as one of the leading business aviation providers in the GCC, but also increasingly in important international markets such as China – where demand for aircraft charter services is growing at an estimated 30 percent annually – the opportunity to be part of this expansion was too good to be missed, I’m delighted to be at Royal Jet and look forward to leading the business into a new era"
