According to Cessna’s latest financial report, the company is on track to deliver 105 Caravans this year. Moreover, the Textron-owned Cessna Aircraft Company forecasts a growth in Caravan deliveries in 2009.
Next year, the Caravan is expected to grow to 120 deliveries. John Doman, VP of Cessna worldwide propeller aircraft sales, attributes the consistent growth to the aircraft’s “utility”.
“Because of its utility, reliability and multiple functionalities, we continue to see increased interest and stable sales for the Caravan in the military, government and special missions segments,” commented Doman.
The Cessna Caravan is designed with the G1000, which is built specifically for the Caravan line—consisting of the Cessna 208, the Grand Caravan, and the Super Cargomaster. The aircraft is equipped with three 10” displays and incorporates the GFC700 autopilot system.
