Demands for business jets will remain high in the Middle East, said Basel Arrar, chairman and CEO of aviation support services group Al Ajneha.
According to Arrar, big corporations in the Middle East are still willing to shell out funds to purchase private jets, despite the unfavorable economic conditions.
“The private jet business in the region accounts for a substantial portion of the global industry and it will continue to grow in demand,” said Arrar.
The CEO was commenting after the official launch of Al Ajneha, a UAE group of businesses that aims to provide support services for local aviation.
Al Ajneha has five divisions that cover executive jet operations, aircraft leasing and finance, fixed-base operations (FBO), airport development, as well as concierge services.
The company will own a fleet of corporate jets, and will also provide managerial and technical support to private planes.
“All five units will, together, provide the synergy we need to be the partner of choice for this region’s business jet operators,” said Arrar.
