Jet Republic deploys sales commission approach

March 6, 2009

Jet Republic is now implementing a commission-based approach for private jet travel sales with the launch of the company’s Private Jet Card.

As explained by TTGLive’s April Hutchinson, “The card starts at €130,000 and Jet Republic will pay a one-off commission of €5,000 to travel agents for each card they sell. Agents can also buy the card for themselves then sell the flight time across their individual clients as they wish, earning up to 5% per flight in service fees.”

“We know there has always been an issue of complication on selling private jet travel as it is not something that has ever been available on GDS and is a fragmented marketplace,” commented Jet Republic chief executive Jonathan Breeze.

Breeze says that the new offer will give agents the opportunity to “finesse for their client.”

He explained, “I know there are a lot of creative agents out there and this is something with which they can reinforce their service offering and show they can really add something different and of value for their clients. Most people’s travel experience is miserable but it doesn’t have to be like that.”

The Private Jet Card entitles the holder to 25 hours of flight time. Breeze mentioned, “That is still something of real value in a time of airport delays and inconvenience. People can travel when they want, from where they want and this is especially beneficial for families.” He added that there are airports within 20 minutes to most locations in the UK.

”A lot of what is available to people is made to feel like it is not. Doors are closed as a sign of exclusivity, but we aim to show that jet travel can be available to many people and it doesn’t have to cost the earth,” asserted Breeze.
