Ken Lewis—CEO, Bank of America—defended his use of private jets last Thursday. It was a controversial move, because the company has recently a rescue package from the US government.
He asserted, “I don’t talk about how we get around. I travel in the most efficient way for shareholders.”
Lewis said that top executives often meet with clients in different cities. “It would virtually be impossible to take public transportation and be that efficient,” said Lewis in a press statement.
