Luxury Air provides private jets for leisure travel

May 6, 2009

Luxury Air Travel by Dnata, the private charter division of Dnata Travel, has made partnerships with numerous hotels across the world to offer rich vacationers one-stop-shop travel choices.

Fahim Jalali, the division manager, said that private jets are no longer exclusively hired for corporate companies as Luxury Air Travel is now offering these luxury flights to its clients.

Jalali said that the business has seen a steady rise in growth, because of the company’s established network.

“We are able to use the contacts we have here at Dnata by working with the Hotels by Dnata division,” said Jalali. “By selecting boutique hotels in Italy or Turkey for example we develop special packages, so leisure travelers can charter a private jet and then stay in the hotels.”

Jalali also spoke about how the recession has affected the company and its services. He said, “There has been a change in trends due to the recession with corporates travelling a little less at the moment, but these type of clients will not suddenly start flying commercially.

Several characteristics of private jet travel remain of importance to the client such as the privacy factor, security, confidentiality, comfort and flexibility. You can’t compare this with taking a commercial flight, plus a lot of CEOs don’t want people to know where they are travelling to and their details will not show up on a usual GDS.”

Jalali says that he is confident that the private jet industry was established enough to survive the ongoing financial crisis.
