Boeing Introduces Convertible Business Jet Option

Boeing recently announced enhancements for its Boeing Business Jet, the BBJ Convertible. It’s a 747-8 jet that can be reconfigured from an all-passenger to an all-cargo configuration in less than eight hours.

Boeing said that the new feature will allow governments, corporations, and private individuals to transport troops and staff, who are delivering cargo, like supplies, tools, parts, and even race horses. At the same time, the aircraft can be reconfigured for medical evacuation purposes.

These improvements are scheduled to be integrated to the planes by 2011.
