NetJets Europe, a private aviation company, said that it aims to strengthen its presence and step up its investments in the Hungarian market in response to growing demand for its services in the area.
Vadim Horisny, the company’s newly appointed Chairman in Hungary, will draw up the business strategy for the company.
In 2008, more than 370 NetJets flights took off from Hungary and over 83 percent of those flights were handled by Ferihegy Airport.
The private jet paints an image of luxury and wealth to the consumer. But the perspective has changed, thanks to the implementation of new cost-efficient and client-friendly service models.
NetJets was one of the pioneers that introduced fractional ownership options for private jets in 1986. The programme was launched in Europe during the mid-90s and in the Middle East in 1999.
The program was considered a success, because it reduced the costs of private jet travel and made it appeal to a much wider demographic.
