China has reduced applications for private jet plans from six days to three hours. This will, more or likely, lead to a boom in the private jet travel business of the country.
The decision means that it is now possible for Chinese-registered Airbus A318 elite to file a flight plan with the mainland aviation authorities three to six hours before take-off. However, the three to six day requirement will still apply for foreign aircrafts.
China is now poised to take the lead in the private jet industry of the region. The region was previously dominated by the Middle East. Now, the country is being touted by some as the next haven of the private jet industry. Airbus has already set to construct and outfitting center in mainland China, which will allow customers to customize their cabin directions.
Beijing is encouraging ownership and use of private jets as the government has promised to cut down duties and taxes on the purchase from 23 percent to 6 percent by 2010.
