AIG CEO prevented from using company private jet for personal use

September 17, 2009

According to Bloomberg News, bailed out insurance company AIG recently announced that its CEO is not allowed to use the company-owned private jet for personal use.

Company CEO Robert Benmosche was reportedly told by the board that he cannot use AIG’s private jet for personal purposes other than business trips. Otherwise, the trips would require exemption from the U.S. Treasury.

Reports claim that Benmosche requested that he be able to use the company private jet for personal use. The board then arranged a meeting with the CEO last Tuesday.
