More than 400 Time Warner magazine workers have been laid off due to the recession. However, the company has managed to keep hold of two private jets—a fact that has put the company under fire.
These jets have been on the market since December 2008. Last February, the media conglomerate was called upon to demand the sale of the company’s four Gulfstream jets.
Based on FAA records, Time Warner still holds these jets and watchers are demanding more and more that these jets be sold. The fact the company has laid off a bulk of its work force and has managed to keep the jets does not evoke a positive public image.
The situation is creating negative public opinion about the company’s executives.
Will Time Warner react? Only time will tell.
