A private aviation specialist claims that checkpoints and heightened security measures at airports will continue on for months and will help bring customers to the private jet industry.
“Those [travelers] who left for financial reasons may have another good reason to come back to business aviation if they can afford it,” said Brain Foley from Brian Foley Associates, Sparta.
He cautioned that the travellers will not come in “droves,” but he does expect more private charters in the first quarter due to an improving economy.
The recession has really hampered the private jet industry. Private jet flights statistics were down all across the board.
Due to the recent terrorist attack, airports are advising travellers to come an hour earlier to the airport because of heightened security procedures. This will increase the appeal of the private jet.
“When flying privately you are not frisked, and you don’t have to get there two hours early,” explained Foley.
