A private jet accident in Edinburgh Airport

January 15, 2010

A private jet accidentally went out of control as it was landing at Edinburgh Airport at 220 miles per hour.

The eight-seater Cessna aircraft took off from Palm, Majorca. It developed electrical problems, which worsened during the two-hour flight.

There was then a malfunction on the autopilot system, and the two pilots struggled to maintain control over the aircraft.

As the plane approached Edinburgh Airport, it descended forced the rudder to different directions. As it got closer to the runway, the landing gear came down in the nick of time.
