Qatar Executive showcases Bombardier Challenger 605

January 22, 2010

Qatar Executive, the corporate subsidiary of Qatar Executive, will be showcasing one of its two Bombardier Challenger 605 planes in the Bahrain International Air Show.

The Bahrain Air Show opened yesterday at the Sakhir Airbase and will continue to show until January 23.

The Bombardier Challenger aircraft will be able to fly non-stop for up to 4,000 nautical miles, reaching destinations in Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Akbar Al Baker, the chief executive of Qatar Airways, said that he is glad to take part in the first aerospace event of the New Year.

More and more air shows are opening in the Gulf, a region that is establishing itself as a key market for the private jet industry.

“We have experienced a steady stream of bookings and have, within the short time span we have been operating, already established a strong client base,” explained Al Baker. Since the establishment of Qatar Executive, it has received great responses from customers.

The industry is being ran by the robust economic climate of the Middle East, where more and more affluent executives invest in private jet travel.

“Private jet travel is all about convenience, saving time and money, especially in the Middle East where economic activity is at a high,” added Al Baker. “Efficient time management for top executives is a priority.”

Qatar Executive allows travellers to book private jet flights as little as four hours before departure time.
