Dallas/ Fort Worth (D/FW) International Airport wants to encourage the arrival of private jets and other general aviation aircrafts for the upcoming 2011 Super Bowl.
D/FW will be spending $3million to renovate a satellite terminal in preparation for the arrival of private jets and general aviation flights.
The airport’s general aviation terminal is currently a trailer in the southern part of the grounds. It is capable of accommodating eight private jet landings per day.
However, D/FW wants to prepare itself for hundreds of private jets, which are landing there for the Super Bowl. It also sees more potential for the airport for other grand sporting events, like car races.
