Newton abandons his private jet

February 8, 2010

Wayne Newton reportedly abandoned his private jet at the Detroit airport.

Three years ago, the famous singer left the aircraft at Oakland County International Airport for interior work.

Reports claim that Newton paid for storage fees, but failed to meet further payments. The Las Vegas entertainer now faces over $60,000 of unpaid fees and his private jet is no longer working. The Oakland Press says that the plane is now “gathering mould.”

Erin Miel, a representative from Newton’s entertainment company, said that the plane is indeed in the Detroit Airport. However, Miel refused to comment further.
