Brokers are a waste of time and money. They have no safety function whatsoever in a world of air carriers. They have not the ability or knowledge to control the safety of a flight. They choose the cheapest possible quote from FAA certified air carriers and tack on huge amounts of money for doing nothing more than making a few phone calls. They make promises that cant be kept based on theyre limited knowledge. Find an FAA certified air carrier and cut out the middle man with a website sitting in his basement. I’ve been a professional pilot for almost 20 years. Take my word for it. Brokers are a scourge in avaition.

We use a private jet broker in the UK http://www.executiveskys.com and they are great. They look after all our fights worldwide and are great for flights in Europe.

I have some bias but couldn’t agree more. The flexibility that brokers have to select the right operator and aircraft for each and every charter flight ensures some of the best pricing available without compromise to safety or service. In fact, the service offered by brokers will generally far exceed the service a client might get from an operator. Safety is paramount and as you say most good brokers will always check the operator safety records and maintenance schedules to ensure that there is a safety first approach. Then the broker is also more likely to be forthcoming with the extra needs of the client such as chauffeur driven or helicopter transfers, an any other special requests or requirements. Brokers are focused on their service as in reality it is what they offer.
