Altitude to design Boeing private jet

March 23, 2010

Altitude, a New Zealand-based specialist in private jet interior, has earned its first contract for a luxury Boeing business jet. The deal is estimated to earn the company $35 million.

The new jet is owned by an unidentified Asian-based customer. The aircraft will be flown from Boeing’s factory near Seattle to Christchurch, where it will be customized.

Michael Pervan—the company’s general manager—said that the job included the installment of electrical, plumbing, and air-conditioning systems. There will also be several interior add-ons.

Usually, private jet interiors are composed of a lounge, a dining area, and a bed room.

Aside from designing interiors, Altitude also sells custom-made furniture.
