Darren Clarke hires private jet to get to Spanish Open after cut fiasco

May 4, 2010

Golfer Darren Clarke hired a private jet to get to the third round of the Spanish Open, because he went home early thinking that he missed the cut.

He booked a commercial flight at London’s Gatwick Airport, but he missed it due to traffic.

Clarke then found a private jet for hire at Oxford airport and it was able to leave for Malaga on Saturday.

After having only having little time to rest, Clarke still managed to par the course. He said that he felt “pretty tired” during the rounds of the game.
