A subsidiary of Honda Co. Ltd. has delayed the delivery of a lightweight private jet—being constructed in North Carolina—for more than two years.
Stephen Keeney, a spokesperson for Honda Aircraft Co., said last Monday that the company is receiving delays from suppliers that will extend delivery until the third quarter of 2012.
The company began taking sales orders for the HondaJet in 2006.
This $4 million jet sports a bullet nose and its engines are mounted above the wings. It still needs to be certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
