Business as usual for BBA Aviation

August 7, 2010

After two years of losses, BBA Aviation is now back on track.

BBA Aviation makes profit from selling basic services, like refueling and engine repair, to business jet operators. During the recession, the company lost business as the private jet became scrutinized as a symbol of corporate excess.

Last November, the company began rebounding from the lost business. The figures had good growth prospects.

However, there have been many obstacles to the company’s recovery. When the North American market was grounded due to the volcano explosion in Iceland, the company lost an estimated £600,000. Sales in its aftermarket division were also reduced.

On the good side, experts expect its aftermarket and repair division to recover during the second half of the year.
