Private jet crashes in Alaska, former senator dies

A private jet, which was said to have been carrying nine passengers including a former US Senator and a former head of NASA, crashed in southwest Alaska.

Reports say that the crash led to five casualties, including former Republican senator Ted Stevens.

Sean O’Keefe, who used to be the chief of NASA, was also in the private jet. According to sources, O’Keefe has yet to be confirmed dead or alive.

Authorities attribute the crash to poor weather conditions.
