St. Kitts will construct a new private jet terminal

August 26, 2010

Last week, St. Kitts announced plans to build a new private jet terminal at the island’s Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport.

Construction is set to begin February next year with FBO service operations beginning by the end of 2012.

“This is a significant step forward in the transformation of St. Kitts’ tourism product,” commented Senator Ricky Skerritt, Minister of Tourism & International Transport. “With competition for the global private jet market so intense, this project is designed to facilitate the type of arrival and departure experience that discerning travelers, including entertainment celebrities, sports stars and international investors, expect.  This new private air terminal will enable St. Kitts to deliver the highest quality of personalized service to passengers on private Jets, as well as scheduled VIP arrivals, featuring our genuinely welcoming Kittitian hospitality.”

The new private jet terminal will be designed with state-of-the-art features, including top class lounges, a business center, and related offices and facilities.

One of the main themes of the terminal will be environment friendliness.
