Saudi Arabian prince buys his own A380

December 14, 2010

A Saudi Arabian billionaire just purchased an Airbus A380 super jumbo for private use—one of the biggest private jet purchases up to date for an individual.

Reports claim that Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ordered the A380 private jet three years ago when global aviation companies displayed their business models at the Middle Easter Business Aviation Show.

The Prince, who is a cousin of the King of Saudi, reportedly spent more than $300 million for the private jet. He spent another $176 million more just to modify the plane’s luxuries and amenities.
