Surging private jet demand in Japan

March 18, 2011

Powerful aftershocks and fears of radiation have caused many in Tokyo to leave the city, or the country.

According to reports, the private jet demand has suddenly surged in Japan, as people wanted to evacuate the affected areas as quickly as possible. Most of them are foreign bankers and company CEOs.

A private jet trip from Tokyo to Japan costs around $160,000. But, reports claim, that people chartering flights did not care about the price anymore. They just wanted to get out.
