Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services, the Suncoast aviation company, has recently finalized plans for expansion.
The company has purchased an air carrier and a charter operator from New York. The new acquisition will help Rectrix grow and will expand the company’s flight offerings.
“You have all the seating...and the seats move so, if you are doing business you can come out, you can sit, you can make it like a board meeting while you are going to your destination,” says Richard Cawley, CEO of Rectrix. “It's a world very few of us know...the high-flying world of high-class charter jets.”
Cawley believes that he has found a niche in the world of private jets.
He explains. “Private jet travel has had a bad rap ever since General Motors, Ford and Chrysler showed up on three jets. But I assure you that this is a global economy, and for any good United States-based company, they need to be global. And the only way they are going to be global and be competitive is with private jets.”
In the next two years, the company is planning to add 20 to 40 aircrafts for its operation. That will mean more jobs in three Rectrix facilities.
Cawley boasts the company’s facilities and services, some of which are unique to the industry. The company has a unique feature called hangar minims—privately owned hangars for Suncoast jet setters.
“We are the Four Seasons, if you will, of private jet charter,” explains Cawley. “This facility here [Suncoast] ... there's nothing like it in the world. We're very proud of it. It's a great location for Rectrix”
